Now I don’t know much about Weddings. But I believe that when you are invited to a Weddings, it means you are invited to both the ceremony and the reception afterwards which I see as the part were you celebrate the wedding with the bride and groom.
But I have been invited to a Wedding, where I am only invited to the ceremony… not the reception. Now I can understand that receptions can be costly, and that it is probably a way to cut costs. But seriously? To me thats extremely rude. Its like saying ‘You are good enough to see us get married, but you can’t celebrate it with us. You are a second tier friend. But bring a present!’. I thought maybe I was over reacting when I found this out, but after looking at other peoples opinions on the net, I’m not alone. The overwhelming belief was that only inviting someone to a wedding ceremony and not the reception, was seen as RUDE, TACKY, and against etiqutte. But hey, that pretty much sums her up: Tacky.
So even though I have said I will go, I am going to try a way to back out. Because I am not travelling and wasting gas to go to a boring wedding ceremony if I can’t even get to celebrate it with them afterwards. There really is no point.

Another HP shirt that is totally awesome.
